What teachers say about previous Eii workshops:
“The eii workshop was wonderful. It was the most enjoyable and most beneficial workshop I have ever attended. The team did a great job”
-Dean Robinson, West Burlington Arnold High School.
“The eii program is without a doubt the most useful and individualized program for professional development that I have experienced. The Eii program teaches educators a simple modeled approach that lends itself to individual teaching strengths and universal curriculum applications within the classroom. The teaching team demonstrates hands-on learning that can be used throughout the year for multiple core subject areas and simple problem analysis skills.”
-Joe Pisarik, Washington High School, Washington, Iowa.
“The Environmental Issues Instruction class is more than a simple book of curricula to be taken back to school and tried out in a trial and error fashion. It has been an engaging experience for me and my students because the issues component is so intellectually and emotionally involved. The issues instruction model can be applied across science content areas as a means of engagement. I plan to incorporate issues instruction to enhance student interest in my science units”.
-Kevin Schneider, Science Teacher, Dowling Catholic High School.
