STEM in Pella
The first event is hosted by Central College. We are hosting a STEM Exploration event June 28 and 29 for high school students. Students are invited to campus to participate in hands-on, interactive workshops with our faculty, students and alumni. One of the highlights of the event is that the students will get to go bat netting at night with our own bat expert – professor Russ Benedict! Netting is always a fun feature and memorable experience for students. The Pella Area Community & Economic Alliance will be hosting a STEM event for all ages of students during one of its annual Thursdays in Pella event programming on June 21. Thursday’s in Pella are hosted in Pella’s downtown square and average around 1100 people in attendance each week. The events are wonderful community connectors.
